Our Outreach

Here at Calvary Chapel Leander, we make it our goal to spread the good news and the warmth of God's love to our surrounding community. By establishing connections with other organizations, such as the local fire departments and elementary schools, we make a constant effort to integrate our church with our area, and beyond.

Here's what we're doing:

  • Volunteer work for students

We have partnered with Education Connection to serve North Elementary in Leander in reading with the students there.

A few years ago, the church community asked city leaders what we could do to make a lasting impact in our city. The answer was simple: help fight illiteracy and school dropout rates. Last school year, more than 966 volunteer literacy partners and mentors served nine school districts across Central Texas, sitting down with elementary students each week for 30 minutes to read one-on-one. With the program growing rapidly and with more and more children in need of special attention, there’s a place for you to make a difference in a child’s life and education. Consider in the Fall semester investing just 30 minutes a week in North Elementary, and bless the life of a child.

  • VOLUNTEER WORK WITH LFD

The Leander Fire Department is a hard working group and they see and hear a lot of things we often do not know about.  They come across people in our community who are really struggling with basic needs and the LFD cannot always spend the time or resources, so Calvary Leander along with other churches has partnered with our fire department to fill part of that need in the community.  The needs include replacing toilets, water heaters, car batteries, and house clean ups  etc...  This is often done for the elderly or those who are struggling to care for their own basic needs.  It is very rewarding to share the Love of Christ in words and in action.
